This is a very impressive camera. All the shots below were taken with the Canon 70-200 F4 IS handheld. These are real world examples of my experience so far and I’m very impressed with the early results. I’m still learning how to best use this camera and all that it offers.
This was processed in camera from raw to jpeg. I’m very happy with the detail at the tip of the pencils and the overall colour rendering. f6.3 iso500 200mm in camera raw processed.
An example of the great quality of image this camera will output. Shot jpeg and processed in Perfectly Clear. f8 1/125 iso800 200mm.
Very capable of giving great detail for a cropped sensor camera. F10 1/125 iso320 200mm jpeg.
Even at higher ISO 1600 the detail is still very clear, and will improve depending on the f stop on your lens. iso1600 f8 1/100 perfectly clear.
This is a reference shot for the following two shots that will demonstrate the improved image quality of this camera. Note the crane in the background. Shot at 70mm.
Ok from the above reference shot this was @ 200mm, f8, ISO 160. Handheld with 70-200 f4 IS on Canon L lens. Check the digital post crop in the next picture.
Ok so the above picture @ 200mm has been digitally cropped even further, probably further than you really should. Notice the detail and the signage – that an impressive crop sensor for sure. Remember this was hand held!! F8, ISO 160 200mm processed in Perfectly Clear with spot metering.
