Fujifilm XT2 + 55-200mm catches the moon

A very quick shot of the rising evening moon from my backyard. Handheld too. Enjoy.

Fujifilm XT1 + 23mm f1.4

Although a few years old now, this pairing of body and lens is capable of incredible results. I like the form factor of the XT1, and once familiar, for many photographers it’ll pack plenty of tech for most situations. Here’s a few photos as samples. Click for bigger.

Street photography Fujifilm XT2

Life is varied and everywhere. People doing all sorts of stuff. In Sydney near Hyde Park there is always an entertaining outdoor chess game being played with all sorts of characters. Took the chance to capture a few random moments.

Sydney morning with the XT2

What a great city. Vistas everywhere. Had an early morning appointment so took the opportunity to shoot a few iconic vistas of my beautiful home city.

Self portrait Fujifilm XPro1 + 35mm f2

So many new amazing cameras are launched every year. Yet one remains my personal favourite for its simplicity and ability to capture images with a sense of dimension. The Fujifilm XPro1 is still amazing. Paired with the wonderful 35mm f2 this self portrait with one hand illustrates the power of great light, great lens, and great camera. Raw files edited in Lightroom f4, 1/125.

Incredible pianist in Sydney

Everyday in Sydneys Queen Victoria Building there is an open piano for public use. Occasionally they are remarkable. Enjoy 😃 click link below

Vintage Canon 135mm f2.8 FD mounted on Fujifilm XT20

Picked this older classic lens up on eBay from a trusted Japanese seller, and much to my delight it arrived in less than one week. Price was about $150 including postage. Compared with many modern lenses this is an absolute bargain and gives me a field of view of about 210mm on a full frame equivalent. Mounted to the XT20 using focus peaking its easy and fun to focus, however some practice is required for faster moving objects and people. To reach effective anti shake you need to use shutter speeds for at least 1/180 or higher and have reasonably steady hands and stance. The colour from this lens are sublime. Hope you enjoy these photos. Most were edited jpegs in LR mobile.
